Best Practise - map and Key

Hi all, I am starting a new campaign a conversion of a 1e module and it is map and key centric. In that most of the explanation is in the form of key entries to a map or series of maps.
My initial though is to create a "Story " category corresponding to each main map, have a "Story" page corresponding to each key entry of the original module with the key text and pinned to the map.
Then use the campaign book to track the timeline, event and journal the parties progress.
Is this a good approach?
I have decided to ask because in the past I have not been very good at organising campaign notes for easy reference but that was before this books feature has been introduced.

Sort of.
I would use advanced stories for each location. You don't have to, but they are newer and more capable. You can use basic stories and just group them, but you won
't get the formatting benefits of advanced stories.
I use the calendar to track the timeline. But it's very limited in it's capabilities. So you may want another set of stories, basic in a unique group, or advanced in the Book with their own chapter.

Layout out a couple of ideas and post the campaign. We can give you detailed feedback.

As for campaign ideas, not sure I have anything solid yet. I have some notions but I want to organise the maps and key entries from the original module and then extract the plot relevant bits and NPC motivations. Probably some key events that occur.
I think I will not structure a overall plot as such, the major players have things they want to happen and agents they think will deliver but I mostly want to set up some situations and lets the players do what they will.

You can add images directly and not links. You can format to two-columns. You can control the order they appear on the Book without using alpha-numeric sort. You can organize by chapters and subchapter instead of just groups.

But, I did what you are looking to do with basic stories for years. So, not needed, just more functional.

You could also use the new Locations sidebar option for this.

I forgot about the new locations. One idiosyncrasy of using them, if you create a sub-location from within an existing location, it will not show up in the library list of locations. So if you want them all in the list, you have to create them from the list and then add/link to the parent.

Thanks all for the advice, I think locations is the way to go. I can have top level location listed and everything else hidden away in the nesting.
