I would like to get a little more help here ... I see there is a way to add text - clunky but doable. However I want to add it on top of a mask. Trying to label obvious features on my Tomb Of Annihilation Chult map and also use the mask to reveal as they travel.

I've moved this post to it's own thread in the House of Healing support forum as the thread it was posted in wasn't related to this specifically.

The Mask is a global mask on top of the whole image, so I don't think there's a way to display image text on top of a mask.

You could add a token to the map and drag/drop some text onto the token, which will become a tooltip (displayed when hovered over). Then right-click on the token and set visibility to "Allways Visible".

Here's an example player view - the token is outside of the global mask, but can be seen by the players and displays the tooltip text when hovered over.

Create a new text layer for each text label that you want and hide those layers from your players until you want to reveal them.
