Map Problems

As I already posted in the Discord I just copy/paste my post :

“Hi, last night we had our first session this year. We had some strange map behaviour.
After the 4 players connected one player could only see his token and everything else on the map grey. After playing around a bit with the map, we figured that when I as a gm open and close the map this changed and the player could see the others and the rest of the map. It also happened now and then, after resizing the map, that I as a gm couldn‘t see tokens and and only grey areas or sometimes just everything black.”

We used DnD 2024 Players Handbook module and the Wave Echo Cavern Map from the “Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obilisk” module.

Known issue and the devs are working on it. Workaround for now is to increase the map size twice and then reduce it's size once and the issues should rsolve.

Thanks for reporting. I've escalated to Carl. It may be related to a similar reported issue, as @LordEntrails noted. We're not sure yet why the issue is occurring or why the workaround fixes; but are continuing to investigate.

Adding another report of this issue to this thread so I can see if/when there's any follow-up. A similar situation happened to us tonight in my game. When one of my players used the Increase Size button on a map that I shared with them, they would lose all lighting/vision effects. As the DM, I could resize, or open and close, my map and that would re-enable their vision and lighting. It was repeatable and occurred several times. If you need any data or logs to aid the troubleshooting, please let me know.
