This isn't specific to the PFRPG2 ruleset, base pointer functionality is for all FG rulesets.

Don't right-click on the pointer handles, right click somewhere else on the pointer itself.

I was going to report this as well and as Trenloe says this isn't a PF thing I had the same problem in 5E. I'll do a separate bug report for some other problems since this might be by design.
