Message of the Day - Advanced Story Entry?

I was trying to use the feature where you can drag a story entry to the Message of the Day window in order to replace the current message with a new one, and it wasn't working. It occurs to me that I'm mostly working with the newer advanced format story entries--does the message of the day window only support the original/basic story entries?

The message of the day is a single formatted text field. So, yes, it only works with simple text stort entries.

Dang! Thanks for confirming. Okay. I'll go with plan B and just make the MOTD a link to other stuff :)
