Fantasy Grounds - v4.6.0 ULTIMATE (2024-12-04)
Dungeons and Dragons (5E) ruleset (2024-12-03) for Fantasy Grounds
Using a new campaign with no extensions loaded, except for the D&D Theme.

When the DM uses shift-drag to move one or more player tokens, the token placement does not update for the player(s) until the DM moves the token a second time using the mouse or arrow keys. We saw this during our session last night, and I was able to replicate it this morning in an empty test campaign.

Indeed. We saw that as well last night. They did appear for my players when I reshared the map.

Thanks for reporting. I added an issue for Carl to review.

We just released v4.6.1 that should resolve that issue. Please run a new Check for Updates, and let us know if still encountering any issues.

This seems to work now (player side is updated), however the player sees for just a fraction of a second where the token was moved to with Shift-Click-Drag right when the movement is completed.

It's brief, but certainly enough to know where the token was moved to (in a region they don't have visibility to).

I'm not sure if I'm following. The players should always be able to see their token.

Do you have a quick video showing what the issue is that you're seeing that might help explain?

Well... apparently Windows snipping tool has a frame rate issue where you can't see the problem on playback, but I'm seeing it live while recording...

Steps to reproduce:

PC and NPC on same map with LOS to each other
Shift-click-drag NPC through a wall to a place where PC does not have vision (opaque black area for them)
Upon release of the drag, PC sees the NPC at the new location briefly (I'd guess 1/10 of a second or less), then it disappears.

If the shift-drag is from a hidden (out of LOS) location to a hidden location, it does not appear to the PC at all. But from visible to hidden, it does appear at the new location for a very short time.

Thanks for the help. This should be addressed in v4.6.2 of the client. Please run a new Check for Updates, and let us know if you are still having an issue.
