View Full Version : Painting Lines With Color Fill Omitted From Undo Stack

It seems that drawing lines on painting layers with a color fill is not handled by the undo/redo stack. I can undo/redo things (lines without fill, text, and toggling visibility) before/after drawing but can't undo the drawing itself.

...And the eyedropper doesn't work for selecting colors inside of an image. It does work in other parts of the UI, but not in the image where I need to color match from...

...and lines disappear randomly when drawing another line...
Drawing one line at a time, then closing and re-opening the image seems to save them.

We just released v4.6.1 that should resolve that issue. Please run a new Check for Updates, and let us know if still encountering any issues.

Escape now deletes all progress when drawing a line with fill after establishing multiple points. Then when another line is started, the deleted previous lines reappear.... sometimes?
Everything seems to be in the undo stack, but requires multiple undos to regress back through them, with no visual difference between them.
If a drawing was finished with enter instead of escape, it seems to work correctly for both visibility and undos.

This is what I see when I do a multi-segment line draw with a fill, and press Escape. This appears to be correct behavior.
Do you have a set of steps or a video that shows what you are seeing?
Thanks,

New campaign. No extensions:
Used ESC to end every draw
I hit CTRL-Z 5 times to get all of that to disappear at the end: 1 for the shape and 4 for the line. I feel like it should have only been 2 total, but maybe I don't understand the implementation.
No idea why the blue dot shows up at the beginning either...

I'm not able to reliably recreate the filled multi-segment line disappearing when a new one is created, but I've seen it happen since 4.6.1 today in an existing campaign.

Escape cancelling the last segment that is currently being drawn/placed is by design; unless I'm misunderstanding what you are showing.
The Undo operation needing that many presses seems like an issue though.

Escape does work correctly now (it didn't at some point since 4.6).
Undo is still strange, but technically works if you press it enough time, maybe?
And that blue dot showing up and disappearing in the video linked above is strange.

We just pushed a new update that should fix the color dialog eyedropper issue. Please run a new Check for Updates, and let us know if still seeing an issue.
