View Full Version : Huge lag when moving tokens with lighting enabled

In the latest version of FG, token movement is painfully slow for all players when lighting is enabled. We are still on a map that used to work fine, so it seems there has been a software change that is causing this problem.

Does anybody else experience this? Is there a workaround?

Yes, other players/DM's are experiencing this. Currently running lvl 12 of Dungeon of the Mad Mage, before the update everything was good, afterward there is significant lag and we are running with NO LIGHTING. The most recent hot fixes I'm now seeing what I'll call "token misplacement" when you "grab" a token to move it, it jumps to a new position and you can see a faint "ghost" token next to it, and putting the token where you want is difficult. I'm hoping today's hot fixes fix something.

Yes, this is a known issue that the devs are working to resolve. Along with a few others. If you want to help, they always appreciate more example to look at. If you are willing to do that, please zip up your campaign, attach here or provide a link to it (Google Drive, One Drive, etc) and which map you are experiencing the issues with and any other steps needed to reproduce.

Just pushed a new build that should fix the token mouse movement issue. Please run a Check for Updates, and let us know if you're still having issues.

For the lag, there are reports that the Aura extension is causing lag. Are you running that extension?

No, not since the new version dropped. I havent tested for lag since yesterdays token hotfix dropped. Ill check later today and comment then
