View Full Version : Terrain LOS able to be toggled on/off by players

I've been finding that I am unable to lock or otherwise disable player toggle of the terrain type LOS. This is mildly inconvenient as I don't feel players should be able to accidentally or intentionally remove LOS limiters prior to overcoming the limitation in the first place (such as getting inside the bush acting as a blocker, for example).

The issue: Players can click on terrain LOS elements to toggle them on/off.

Game factors: This effect/error was recreated in a blank 5e campaign with no extensions and only Phandelver and 2024 PHB loaded, using the cragmaw hideout player map.

If someone could point out what I'm missing, or confirm if it is a bug, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Good Day PunjStik :)
Welcome to the message boards :)
Terrain is not togglable like a door or window is (To the best of my limited knowledge). When the token approaches the terrain they can see into it but cannot see past it until they step into the terrain then they see past it. Or am I confused by what you are asking? :)

Thanks for reporting. We'll get that fixed in the next hot fix update, probably tomorrow.

Terrain LOS can be toggled. If you look at the center of an area with terrain LOS you will see white (door???) that can be clicked to toggle on/off. I had no idea the players could toggle that one. I really with they were not able to toggle doors, lol

Almost seems 4.6.0 should be put back in test and push back to the prior release.

Fingersome

Frankly, I'm sort of the same opinion - the new functionality is fun, but it has been a very rocky release, might need a bit longer in the oven.
