I have just purchased fantasy grounds Unity from Steam and the fgu Uploader won't let me login. Consequently, after ~20min I log off. I can get to the message boards(obviously).

You might need to contact tech support via https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals since they will have access to your account details.
But, make sure you are using your forum username and password. Make sure that your license is tied to the same email address as your forum username. Check your Order History (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/store/myorders.php) and make sure it is showing correctly.
Finally, can you give us the steps with screen shots of what you are encountering? We might be able to see something that is missing etc if you can provide more detail. Please do not include password or order numbers, or license keys etc :)

Sorry for the slow reply, the Steam Account now seems linked (it didn't seem to be earlier). But it still does not login, just says "Logging In" on the FGU Uploader.(See screen shot62833[/ATTACH) The possible problem I can see with Steam is the purchases have a "?"(screen shot: [ATTACH=CONFIG]62834)

It looks like FG is unable to connect to the FG servers to carry out your login.
Check in your security software that FantasyGroundsUpdater.exe and FantasyGrounds.exe have access to your network and aren't being blocked - these executables are usually in C:\Program Files\SmiteWorks\Fantasy Grounds on a Windows computer. You may need to whitelist these to ensure they have network access.

Manually add an Allow rule for both fantasygrounds.exe and fantasygroundsupdater.exe

I have manually allowed the updater through the firewall, but can't find fantasygrounds.exe. May this be the problem? (A screen shot of the directory where the firewall supposes fantasygrounds.exe is.62868)

The fantasygrounds.exe doesnt exist because the updater cant run.
You are still (i know its not intentional) blocking the updater somewhere...

Would deleting everything to do with fantasy grounds and reinstalling have any issues associated?

You can on your windows firewall right click and reset to default.
If you do that then pay extra attention over the next couple of days as each time you run a program for the first time that Windows doesnt have a default rule for it will ask you to allow/deny and it might specify public and/or private networks. In most cases you will say yes to allow on both networks. The updater should prompt then when you run it.

Maybe they should also double check and make sure their network is set to private (unless of course you are trying from a public wifi connection).
