I hope this is the right place. I am running Shadowdark and want to create an effect for a spell that automates that spell rolling with ADVANTAGE. I cannot figure out how to do that or if I even can. I'm new to this and would love some help please!

Check out the 5E wiki. It uses the same formatting for almost all effects.

Thank you, I'll do that.

I don't believe you can set an individual spell to automatically receive advantage. You would need to either click the ADV button or set an effect on your character that either goes away after rolling or that you can switch on/off in the CT (if not switched off it will be applied to all checks depending on how you set it up).

The easiest option is just click ADV before making the spellcheck.

To set an on/off effect you can use the following effect added to the Notes page of the character sheet (it will auto populate on the CT when the character is added to the CT, so if already on CT, remove the character and then add back)
[Casting Advantage; ADVCHK: ability] in the CT there will be a switch you can turn the effect on and off. This will add advantage on any ability check using the ability entered, so make sure to turn it off when not casting that spell.

Try ADVSPELLCAST

Try ADVSPELLCAST

That would also work, but would still need to be setup as a one-off or on/off if the effect is for one particular spell. I imagine op is referring to magic missile, but it could be another spell with a talent roll for advantage.
