Hi all!

Brand new to FGU (ver. 4.6.0) and I have a couple of questions relating to spells and combat in general. First being: is there a way to limit the number of actions one can take during a turn? For example, I have party of level 1 characters taking on a band of goblins and the goblins rolled higher in initiative. Goblin 1 can sit there and take swing after swing after swing indefinitely until the players are dead. The characters can also do the same when it gets to their turn.
Additionally, the level 1 wizard has only one spell (Command) and can repeatedly cast it infinite times per turn until all goblins are prone. On the same note, is there a way to change the command? Instead of being Prone I mean.

Just in case it's necessary to note, I play the DM and have a separate account playing one of the characters. I realize these are probably pretty beginner questions, I just don't know the answer to them.

Welcome to FG!

No, you can not limit the number of actions a player can take on their turn. Or even when it's not their turn. This is much like at the table, it's up to the players to follow the rules, and their are often house or table rules and exceptions.

If the goblin attacks more than once, you are not playing by the rules. FG does not enforce the rules, it enables you to play remotely. It's not a video game, it's a virtual table top :) Just like if you are playing at a physical table, you need to know the way the game plays and the gist of the rules.

Got it! That's better in a lot of ways and I appreciate your explanation. I need to think of it as more of a system than a straight video game. Do you happen to know how to change the command prompt to anything other than prone? For example, flee, approach etc. Or even custom commands like Climb, Jump, Throw, etc.?

The only command that has any mechanical significance to FG is prone. The others have no mechanical effect but you can create these effects yourself as a reminder.

More of effect here in the wiki https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/996642031/5E+Effects+for+Advanced+Automation
