View Full Version : 4.6.0 Causes Campaign not to Load

I've attached the error log I receive when I attempt to launch the campaign in question, but for some reason whenever I attempt to launch this campaign in the Live build, it just returns to the launcher with a log telling me the connection was lost.

I would like to note that the log I attached is from a copy of the campaign that I've deactivated all Extensions on. Despite deactivating all Extensions, the campaign is unable to be launched.

Now before update 4.6.0 and if I switch to the Prev Channel, the campaign continues to work just fine, even with my usual Extensions activated.

I was wondering if someone could interpret the log for me and tell me what seems to be the problem and if there is a work around for getting the campaign to work on 4.6.0

Can you load a new campaign on 4.6?

Yes, starting a new campaign on 5E using 4.6.0 does indeed work (sorry for not mentioning). I don’t 100% understand the error log, but I presume it has something to do with a file in the campaign itself?

Since you can create a new campaign try creating a new one (not with the same name as the corrupted one) and close it down. Then copy the db.xml from the corrupted campaign and paste into the new one you just created (over writing the existing one). Then start the new campaign to see if that works,

If that does work you may want to copy over any images and the moduledb folder from the corrupt to the new as well.

So after creating a new campaign with a different name and then copying over the db.xml from the prior campaign which wouldn't start, it does indeed seem like the new campaign also is unable to start now.

Upload the db.xml here from the corrupted campaign.

When attempting to upload the xml, it currently gives me an error telling me fantasyground.com is unable to handle the request. For reference the db.xml file is 48,744 KB which should definitely be under the 190.73 MB limit for XML files

ZIP it up and try attaching the ZIP file.

Thanks for providing the db.xml file - the issue was with the image called "The Saint Cailyn Below Decks". I've removed that from the db.xml, and you should be able to use db.xml in the attached file.

EDIT: See next post.

I narrowed it down to one water layer in that image - try the attached db.xml, it has that one problem layer removed.

@Trenloe Thank you so much! I just tested the file and the campaign is now able to start!
