Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden is a very large, sandbox-type, character driven campaign.
There is a lot of magic present and in various forms. Items, creatures, effects and more.
The environment of Icewind Dale is as much a hazard as any creature and will have to be dealt with on a regular basis.
A player primer will be provided to those interested in joining the campaign.
Character creation will be one on one with me. I can walk through the entire process with those new to FGU and/or creating characters in the 5E ruleset.
I run my games with a constant pace. My goal is to not allow my players to get bored. I use background sounds and effects to enhance immersion. Player input will determine frequency and intensity.
The gaming environment will encourage imagination. Free from ridicule and judgement. This will be a place of fantasy where no player should have to worry about the real world for at least a few hours. That being said, keep the negativity outside of the game. Any and all of it. This campaign will have the possibility of leading elsewhere in Faerun (Or other places. You never know...). Rules Lawyers and Min-Maxers might not have a great time in my off the hip, loose style of GM'ing. Roleplaying is not necessary but playing your characters role is highly encouraged.

Term: Long term campaign. (I've run this twice so far with both groups lasting 15+ months of weekly games. Minus the typical holiday breaks.)
