I've noticed in the latest release, when you select an image, above another image (even one that is locked), you end up also dragging the image below, by dragging the one that overlays it.

Does this happen in a new campaign with no extensions? What ruleset are you using?

Are you talking about multiple objects on the same map (i.e. tokens, layers, etc.)? Or about multiple floating image windows on top of each other?

If you have specific steps or a small video, that might be easier to see what you are talking about.

Thanks,

Same. Trying to move icon often selects/moves underlying map.

Last night during my session we saw this as well, where both a player (client) and myself (host) went to move a token and it showed the token that was immediately below that token (south of the token on the map[adjacent to the first token]) being moved along with it. When the movement was approved, it only actually moved the intended token, but still confused people as it was shown. We also ran into issues where tokens after moving to a new location on the map would then snap to another spot, like one grid square above where it moved and halfway between two squares instead of snapped to grid. We also would have clients seeing tokens in locations that the Host didn't show, it would sync back up if the Host were to move the token and move it back.

I was actually talking about me, as the DM, attempting to edit an open map image by selecting and moving image layers around within that open image file. Perhaps the bug dradams describes could potentially be related...? Not sure.

I have managed to replicate this bug in 5e without any additional extensions, not sure if it shows up in other rulesets.

Here in the 5e test campaign, I added a torch asset above one of the basic maps, to illustrate.

I then click on a portion of the torch asset that has pixels (not a transparent part, as that seems not to work...?), and then click and drag to try and move the torch asset. It moves the underlying Battlemap01 jpg along with it. It ignores the asset below being 'locked' with the little layer lock in the layers pallete.

Thanks for the help. This should be addressed in v4.6.2 of the client. Please run a new Check for Updates, and let us know if you are still having an issue.
