While typing in a story entry, visible link icons in that story entry 'flicker'. They seem to be redrawn after each character is typed, or if the mouse is clicked, or if the window is resized.
This does not seem to impact performance but looks odd/wrong and is a little distracting.
Edit: this also happens with the boxed text "speech bubble" icon.

Happens with a lot of stuff that is like looking to update the area with info. I feel like this is causing more lag the older a campaign gets also.

This was addressed in the last update (v4.6.6) for typing. Anything that forces a content size area change (i.e. new line, window resize, etc.) will still cause all the elements to redraw in their correct positions.

While often correlated with "older" campaigns, some more testing is indicating that a lot of lag issues might be caused purely by the size of db.xml (which usually grows over time... sometimes quite substantially).
This noticeable flickering might be more noticeable when a larger db.xml is being referenced on the redraw.
Forgive my ignorance... not an expert... I'm not sure how best to phrase it, but is is just a linear "go through db.xml from the beginning... read/write data where appropriate"... so the larger the file, the longer it can take to get to the point of updating coordinates or whatever?
Isn't noticeable with a small file, but when it's say 45 MB, that's still a fair amount for a modern processor to constantly go through?

Yes older campaign wording is exactly that, more info in the db.
