Size of 2.5D asset preview not properly shown if static orientation

Hi :)

I played around with the new 2.5D object placement :) While placing an object one can see the asset preview in order to see how it will look like, and after adjusting the asset size the preview also adjusts. However, if I set the orientation as static (opposed to facing the viewer), then the size of the preview is not adjusted, making it difficult to see how the actual display will look like :)
(after the placement the size is correct)
