View Full Version : To Rollback or Not to Rollback, That is the Question

I know it's been stated that we can now roll back to prior versions. When I updated my campaign, it specifically said that once it was done it could not be undone.

So:
Has anyone rolled back using the procedure that was outlined Settings>Advanced>Build Channel>Prev?
Do all of my players need to do that also if they have updated?
Will I have issues with extensions that may be updated?

I have frozen my updates for weeks to avoid issues and decided I had an update window between now and my next game to get current. I am a little nervous based on all of the issues I am seeing posted.

Also, it would be great to understand what exactly caused all this from the dev team. I saw a very small list of features added (which seemed odd for a full point release) and people are reporting regression bugs as well.

Yes, all of your players will need to be on the same version so they'll need to rollback too.

Although the list of features added seem small both of the image things added (text and objects) are major updates to the client with a lot of moving parts..

I believe any changes you have made to your campaigns since you updated may be lost. I have not tested that.
Yes you may have issues with extensions that have been updated since I don't believe the Prev channel keeps copies of the extensions. You may have to disable them until you are able to return to the Live channel.

When switching between channels, you'll need to copy your campaigns between the channels if you want the data to be the same. The data folder for each channel is independent, since updates do impact data versioning.
