View Full Version : So many issues - Linux Install

I'm running FGU through Steam on Ubuntu. My first session as a GM was a nightmare. The application updated several times, so users couldn't connect easily. The program crashed every time I tried to create a map from an image (it bombed). I drag and dropped 5e rules books to players and they still couldn't access them to build their characters.
One user couldn't log in until he plugged an external monitor into his laptop (NVIDIA vs intel graphics).
At this point I have no idea if I did something wrong, or if it's bugs, or if it's the fact that it's running on Linux. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Tuesday a large graphics update was rolled out that has ended up having some serious bugs. There have been numerous hot fixes pushed since then causing the update issue (unfortunately). The crashing might have been related to the bugs, please test again after an update and let us know if it still crashes and how that can be repeated. Attaching logs and providing steps to reproduce is very valuable. Each player needs to activate the 5E books they want to have access to within FG. Refer to the Wiki here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/996640899/Using+the+Library+and+Activating+Modules#Module-Activation
