[Paid][LFP][5e24] A West-Marches Style Campaign

This Campaign will begin by building a player base! The first session will be a one-shot for 1-5 new characters and those characters will be built when the session starts. There will be many opportunities to get started and meet other players. A small village will be your base, and you can bid on a spot in a party via Startplaying.games to take on the Adventure offerings. Sessions will be offered multiple days during the week at various times. The first session will bring you up to 2nd level, and the second session will bring you to 3rd level. After that, progress will depend on normal XP awards. As stated, the cost of play is just $5 for the first and second session with $2 per level after that and as such, each session is level dependent. Consider the Level 1 session as a "session zero plus $5".

The Campaign will be using just the 2024 PHB, nothing else. Make whatever character the Character Wizard will allow. Rules are expected to be "Rules as written" but I will regard them also "as intended". Sessions are intended to be (hoped to be) fun and exciting.

This posting is the advance notice to go look for sessions in Startplaying.games. There are many aspects in this Campaign to explain and answer questions to. The more players who get started and survive will generate higher level sessions. You can play at your own speed and frequency. Posted sessions will run even if only one player bids and the session will scale to the number of characters.

2 players reached 2nd level last night! I have 2 sessions posted for today. Both of them are for 1st level characters and they will progress to 2nd level at the end of the session as long as they survive.

5 players currently in the roster, 2 at 3rd Level, 3 at 2nd.
Next week the second part of the "funnel" will be for those at 2nd Level, who completed the 1st Level quest (part 1). If they survive, they will progress to level 3.
Quests for Level 1 will also continue to be posted for anyone who wants to join and/or want to learn how to play D&D and/or Fantasy Grounds Unity.
There are dozens of Quests that will be available, and you never are required to play by any schedule, and you can even play solo.

The roster of players has reached 9 and a couple of them have reached 3rd level and are ready to begin Adventuring.
Remember, this is a Campaign of player choice. You get to suggest the day and time of your sessions.
Below is something I posted to our Discord chat.....

"As a reminder.... 3rd level adventures happen when one of you request a day and time to play. Talk among yourselves and agree on the timing, I will do my best to make that session possible.
Progression, from 3rd level on goes by XP gained, the way the rulebook states.
Each adventure has successive goals and you can exit back to the village whenever you deem neccessary or when the session ends. The adventure remains static, enabling you (or some others) to start where you left off. There are many situations you can imagine that would fit this concept.
The bottom line is you all can play a part in an adventure's resolution, it all hinges on your involvement in the organization of a party."

"There are (2) 3rd level characters currently. After tonight there will be, maybe 4! The growth of this Campaign may seem slow, but it's normal, I did this once before and it's pretty much the same."
