Since updating the core PHB, MM, and DMG are all inaccessible to me. Other books like the Complete series are unaffected. I can access the assets like NPC's and Skills, but not the reference manual with the text.

Make sure you run your updates. There was one other person who mentioned this on the Discord and no one else said they were seeing that after updating.

I ran updates to confirm it wasn't a problem when the issue presented itself.

I didn't see any text this morning in those three Reference Manuals, but ran an update and the text was there. The text did take a moment to load though.

I had a similar reports to me in Discord a few days ago and I tested locally on multiple systems (on a clean install) and was able to see the text in the ref-manuals.
Other individuals I asked were able to see things fine as well.
My guess is some local issue because I can't replicate.

I just left a fully updated instance open for 3 hours and the reference manuals did not load.
I guess I'll try trashing my vault and see if a reinstall solves it.
OpenSuse Tumbleweed, fully updated.

Sorry if this sounds silly, but I recently had some of my reference manuals stop loading. They were saved to quickslots, and some of them had stopped coming up when I would click on the quickslot. Well turns out the root cause was that some of the modules had been deactivated somehow. Once I reactivated them, all worked as it should.

I have disabled and reenabled the modules multiple times.

I put in bug reports for all three reference manuals.

Those people experiencing the issue - please post more information. Please share logs, screenshots.
There is not enough info to investigate further as the issue is not occurring for all users.

It's important to note that it's only a problem if you try to open the reference from the library list. If you open books from the menu on the right and then select from the list the reference opens just fine.

OK thanks Zacchaeus
I was using the Menus Menu Style and that works correctly.
Im sure celestian is also using that option too.
For those with the issue - please change menu styles until the cause is identified.

Issue persists after deleting my vault and re-downloading affected modules, then unloading and reloading them.

I dont know what broke these links - it wasnt a change in the 2E ruleset or modules.
In the meantime please use the Books campaign tool - all the reference manuals load correctly from there.

Changes upon changes upon changes in the back end must get tiring to keep up with.

I've looked at this for a while and this doesnt look to be a reference manual problem. Best I can tell is CoreRPG isnt opening them correctly for some reason. I've tried to follow it but unable to narrow is down for them. I'll ping JPG and perhaps he can find it. My guess is its related to "older" reference manuals because some of the newer ones dont have a problem opening from the library, its seems like the old ones. Either way they all work from dropdown in 2E and from sidebar/story book window.

Found a solution for this I believe. Waiting on confirmation and if given I'll send the update.
