What is the correct sizing for imported campaign images? I would like to open images so that no panning is allowed, but so far all my resizing has done is pixilate the images. Advice? Suggestions?

Ok... My boss said I can't tell you the secret. But he never checks the forum anymore. Resizing will pixelate the pictures a lot because you arnt adding any extra pixels to the image when you resize, you are just making the preexisting ones bigger. The trick is to resample the image, you will still get some pixelation, but you shouldt get anywhere near as much. when you resample it will run a bandpass and add pixels as needed.

From adventure_images.xml it looks like 500x500 is the preferred image size, while the window is anything from 200x200 (min) to 700x700 (max).

I haven't tried it out, as I make use of the pan feature.

I thought 600x600 was max before pan? There is some wierdness if you don't have a square map though. Yeah, just checked a 600x600 png - it was fully displayed. The trick is any square sized less than 600x600 unless you resize the frame.

I am having some luck with using the real size as a guage, its easier.

My portraits are 3-4cm pngs
My maps are up to 6cm pngs

I have better luck with larger images zoomed down than the reverse. I only use pngs.

Seems to work.

I agree with the comment about non-square images...maybe ill start "letterboxing" them to 500x500 and see if thats better.
