Hi,

So I've tried to delete the campaign folder but it keeps getting recreated when updates occur. I'm not interested in 5e and have no desire to play or run it.

How can I permanently get rid of this?

Thanks.

You can’t get rid of it since it will keep updating. I believe there is an issue currently where it keeps updating even if no update is required. Until that gets resolved you can load the campaign once and the updates should stop after that.

This is not working for me. If I close out and reopen FG more than 30 minutes after closing, I still get the Check for Updates. Yes, I went into the Test Campaign and everytime it has me choose the option to keep it as 2014 or switch to 2024.

You can't remove it at this time. While the tutorial itself was developed for 5E, it is more of a universal tutorial on how to use the program. It only takes up about 3.5MB.

At some point in the future, we hope to redo our entire update system to allow you to pick and choose what you want to install and keep up to date. In the meantime, you will get this tutorial and all the built-in rulesets automatically.

Same.

I'm unsure of what you mean here. The problem that some people are experiencing is that the tutorial campaign updates every time that there is an update, even though the tutorial hasn't been changed. What I was suggesting was open FG and choose the tutorial campaign from the campaign list and start FG. Once you do so you can close it down, and (at least for some users) this fixes the issue of the tutorial always downloading. It has nothing to do with the 2014 or 2024 option - so I'm not sure that we are discussing the same thing.

Gotcha, still get the constant update, even after opening the campaign. I did notice that it takes about 30 minutes between the time you close FG and then reopen it for the Check for Updates to come back. Is there some kind of timer set in the coding for updates involved with Update button and the tutorial?

I doubt it. I think at the moment that there are so many hotfixes and updates that it could just be a coincidence that you are seeing such behaviour.

No, I'm seeing the constant update as well.

Interesting. Opening up the Tutorial campaign worked for me in that it no longer updates every time I update, and I know from feedback on here and on Discord that's it's worked for others. So I'm not sure what the issue is. I think the devs are under the cosh right now with the new 5e stuff but I'm sure the problem will get resolved idc.

We have been pushing several updates each day for the 5E ruleset, as we work to refine the new version. So, that would trigger updates as well.
