Shadow/Fade Not Working Correctly on Paint Tool

It's been a while since I've used them, but I believe that changing the Shadow amount for the stroke of the paint tool should fade the inner part of a shape while Fade does the same to the outer. Am I wrong?

In any case, changing Shadow does nothing that I can see while Fade affects both sides of the line.

The fade setting should fade both the interior and exterior edges of the stroke. You are correct that shadow appears to do nothing. I'll take a look at that.
