Hi all,

I'm a long time 5e GM transitioning my group to PF. I see that a lot of material is freely available in the 2e ruleset as party of the ORC modules. Does purchasing the actual Player's Handbook add much value, or are the free rules sufficient?

At the very least it supports the work of the developers who code the ruleset and books.

Quick answer - you get images, tokens, portraits and the full product in book (reference manual) format in the full product; otherwise the base FG data is the same between the full and the ORC license product.

Information regarding the ORC license modules can be found in this sticky thread: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?80958-Pathfinder-Second-Edition-ORC-license-products There's a video linked in post #1 that goes through it.
