I'm attempting to install FGU on openSUSE Tumbleweed. After entering username/password in the GUI, the installer sits there and says "Logging in."

I don't know if this will help or not https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/1997012993/Linux+Starting+FGU+with+Wayland+Instead+of+x11+Com positor

No, that doesn't help at all. The launcher isn't crashing or giving any error message.

My first guess would be that the firewall may be blocking something. As LE says above, start digging into your syslogs.

"sudo journalctl -f |grep firewall" doesn't show anything, except when I reload the firewall.

Disabling firewalld has no effect and journalctl doesn't show anything interesting.

Resolved for him on another platform. This is an ongoing issue for OpenSuse Tumbleweed users.
The updater log revealed SSL errors. This led me back to remembering the old classic of Tumbleweed needing certificates installed for FG.
sudo zypper in ca-certificates ca-certificates-mozilla ca-certificates-cacert ca-certificates-steamtricks resolves this.
