Me and some other players are experiencing an issue on our DM's table that have all of us scratching our heads. We as players cannot transfer items from the item window onto our character sheets. We finally got an item or two to work, but the DM needs to independently share each item that needs to be added to our sheets. As we are starting a new campaign, this is getting in the way of character creation.

Before anyone asks about extensions we are not using any.

What items are we talking about (weapons, gear, abilities, feats etc) and what is the source module(s)? Also a screenshot might help or a step by step as to what you are doing.

its just items from the item window into the inventory, all other links (race, background, class, feats etc) work perfectly fine.
The source module is the D&D players handbook
steps
open item window via item tab on right side of screen
grab long sword item and click and drag it onto character sheet into the inventory tab
no item populates on character sheets inventory

DM will share the item making the item public
then we are able to grab the item

Do the players have the PHB loaded? If not, they won't have access to the items until the items are shared with them. It's easier for them to just load the PHB.
Are you dragging the window onto the inventory space or are you dragging the drag handle/icon?

I am a player in the campaign, so yes I do have the module loaded
And I am dragging the item, not the window

I'm unable to reproduce this. Anything that I drag either from the campaign list or directly from the library list is added to the inventory.

Can you test in a new campaign to see if it happens in that one. Can you ask your DM to check that they don't have any folders in their ruleset folder in FG data, and if so can they delete those folders and then update FG. If they don't have any folders get them to try deleting the 5e.dat and CoreRPG.dat files and then update FG.
