Savage Worlds Release Updates for August 20th, 2024

These are the updates being release tomorrow.

Please remember not to update right before a game starts.

In order for some of the updates to be visible, you may need to open the Module Activation window from Library->Activation, right click on the module and select "revert changes". Be warned, any edits you've made will be lost.

Note: Hotfixes are to fix an immediate problem that prevents using a product. They are not fully tested and may introduce other issues. If you have issues with a hotfix please contact support.

New Functionality / Changes
Racial Abilities now display group, value, and max fields.
These have always been in the underlying database, but were not displayed.

Edges display the linked dependency edge.
The dependency edge is the edge that will be replaced by this edge.
This will be done automatically when you drop the overriding edge onto a character sheet. An example is bruiser. The dependency is brawler. If the character has brawler, it will be replaced by bruiser.

Arcane Backgrounds now display the linked Arcane Skill and AB Edge.
These fields are editable when you're creating your own modules.
You can drag and drop Skills and Edges to easily link them.
No more hunting for the related AB, edge, or skill.

Added Max field to the Cyberware window.
If you setting doesn't use it, you won't even notice it.

Cyberware can now be dropped on parcels and the Party Sheet loot list.
This effects all the settings and extensions that make use of cyberware.

Module Export now removes default effects and modifiers.
This prevents all those duplicates from appearing.
You no longer need to remember to use the /effects unload command before exporting.

Added the chat command

/modifiers load
and

/modifiers unload
Use this for those times you have duplicates in your game session.

Bug Fixes
Dragging a character by name from the Party Sheet causes an error.

Increased the minimum height of the Modifications / Enchantments and Arcane Device lists to make dropping onto them easier.

I just applied a bug fix to vision effects on the CT.
When you add a vision effect to a character on the CT, it doesn't update the vision on the map. The illumination penalties are adjusted, you just don't see the vision change. The character is just standing in the dark.
