So, this is my own personal theme that I’ve been using for my own games. After creating an alternate palette swap of it as the FG Academy theme, I decided to also release the original.

A bit more idiosyncratic than the FGA, Magicant RED still retains the same core idea of a uniform theme that is easy to read, looks cool, and feels modern and streamlined.

Though optimized for 5e, it’s built on the foundations of the default FG Theme, so it should have a high degree of compatibility with most rulesets. The combination of its window design and color palette makes suitable for both fantasy and modern settings.

I hope you enjoy it, and happy gaming!

UPDATE, SEPTEMBER 2024

Magicant RED has been reforged!
Hello peeps, Magicant RED v3.0 is now live. The theme been remade from the ground up. As I'm sure you will notice, it is practically a brand new theme. It has the same core design principle, but it has been brought more in line with the design of the current core themes.

If you still prefer the original version, worry not; you can still find it in the forge as Magicant CLASSIC (I will release that in the coming days).

But wait, there's more!

I have also released another theme in the forge: Magicant DARK. Nuff said. You can find that here: https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/1926/view

Looks like Magicant RED and Core-RPG - Wound Overlay have a conflict (and it's a recent one). With only those two extensions loaded in a 5E campaign, opening a map gives this error:

[7/26/2024 12:49:33 PM] [ERROR] window: Control (clear_wound_separator) anchoring to an undefined control (toolbar_anchor) in windowclass (imagewindow_toolbar)

Thanks for reporting. I've uploaded a fix. The build is currently queued for processing. Since it's the weekend and the approval is done manually by SmiteWorks, I expect it to be available on Monday. Until then, you (and your players) can type '/console skip' on the chatbox to get rid of the error pop up. The extension is otherwise functioning properly (save for the incorrect location of the 'clear wounds' button in the toolbar).

In any case I will post here again when the fix has been proved and you can update. :)

Thanks. Luckily(?), we have to use "/console skip" regularly for other extensions since the last big FGU update... ;)

The new red look is very nice. It does give an error on load, though (no other extensions, 5e):

[9/25/2024 6:37:34 PM] [ERROR] icon: Could not find image file (graphics/extensions//fail100x100.png) for icon (FailIcon). [theme_magicant_red] [graphics/graphics_extensions.xml]

Forgot to mention you can safely ignore this. And it will be fixed in the next update. :) It still loads the correct assets from the Core theme. I just forgot to delete the 'ask' for it from the XML. Also, for some reason, it only gives the error the first time you load it in campaign. On repeat loads it does not for some reason (at least in my system).

EDIT: Fixed. You can run an update

EDIT 2: I went into detail about this in the DARK theme thread, but I might as well repeat it here. Though my fix did indeed take care of an icon that was actually missing, the error GKNEnialb got was about another icon..... that was not missing. :P

Confused?

Yeah, so sometimes I too have noticed that it randomly (usually when you first load it in a campaign) drops an error about a missing icon or two. These icons are theme-appropriate iterations of icons that are used by certain extensions. And despite the error, they load normally. This apparently is an FG bug.

Bottom line is: the error randomly appears on load, but rarely. It's a false flag, so when it does, just ignore it. There are no missing icons, and everything is loading as it's supposed to.

Follow up on the previous.

Thanks to the help of rhagelstrom (and when I say help, I mean he figured it out on his own :P ) it turns out the error was, as usual, a human error. I had a // instead of a / somewhere in the filename's path. Now, why even with that error it still loaded the file correctly, and why it only did it on first load and never again? (I literally loaded campaigns repeatedly and didn't get it.) Well, I don't know.

Regardless, I've already pushed fixes for both RED and DARK. :)
