Shortly, I will be hosting a series of game sessions to introduce my independent role playing game, Medieval. A copy of the game can be obtained free by following the link in my signature to my lulu.com storefront. Lulu is a reputable on-line publishing site and you are not required to provide any personal information or even register an account to download content.

I am contracting the creation of a custom FG II rule set (character sheet only) and tokens for use with the campaign. While this content is being completed, I will be hosting a series of Q&A and character creation sessions – the upcoming dates and times of sessions will be posted at the calendar link above. As my school/work schedule allows I will offer Q&A and game play sessions at different times to allow players from the U.S., the Pacific Rim, Asia, and Europe to participate.

The purpose of the Q&A sessions is to discuss Medieval, so I ask that if you wish to participate, you come having at least cracked open the rule book. Signing up in advance for a Q&A session is not necessary, but furnishing me with an idea of about how many guests I should expect for a given session will be appreciated.

Thank you and I hope to see some of you soon,

-John Griffith

Wow, John, that sounds very exciting - count me in, if I am not asleep, when you decide to run the Q&A sessions!

Am downloading the rules now and look forward to reading them.

Oh, btw Mediaeval has 2 "A"'s in it:p

Do you have Ventrilo or we are doing it only by chatting? And what is your IP or log in for joining the game for tonight?

I glanced through the rule book (color me 'impressed', I'm hoping to create my own campaign world soon, but not a whole system to go with it). My main question is if this game will focus on combat or roleplaying? I'm much more interested in a game that is about roleplaying.

I generally run adventures with a mixture of investigation, espionage, heavy on role playing with combat at key parts of the adventure. I use combat as an enhancing element. Read through chapter 8 for an example of the type of adventures I like to run.

Ok, that sounds good. Can you send me the connection info for the Q&A session tonight?

Unfortunately, I can't make any of those times. I can't play during the day on weekdays because of my work.

The times posted are Q&A only. I will run multiple sessions at times friendly to as many players as possible. You are free also to suggest a time and if I can make it I will do so.

We have room for one more player in the Sunday session. You can also read the log of our sessions on the downloads page at https://www.maiafl.com

I will run additional sessions if demand is there. Medieval is a non-d20, indie roleplaying game in a medieval setting. It's gritty, edgy and a lot of fun. The focus is on unique characters, investigation and mystery, with a liberal dash of cloak and dagger and brutal, bloody, hand-to-hand combat.

Get the core rules for free by visiting https://www.maiafl.com and come and join the fun. Find out why Medieval is one of the best roleplaying games you will ever play.

Ya great game. Original rules. Similiar to Harn in my opinion. The GM put a lot of work into the game, and it's great having a chance to be the one giving it a trial run.
