Do we know if there will be any major db changes with the 2024 release? I have a project that is waiting final approval and I realized today that if the way FGU saves the data changes, especially the nodes and subnodes names it may require a rewrite of part of the project on my end.

The 5e ruleset is, as far as I know at this stage, not going away. The 2024 5e ruleset will be new.

Yes, hence why I am asking if there are any major database changes. I'm not concerned about 2014. I want to get ahead of anything that may be changing in 2024 so I can get ahead of it, or if nothing is changing, then I can state that its compatable.

I'd suggest that you won't know that until it's released. As far as I'm aware Smiteworks only just got the files from WotC so any ruleset or modules would be in the earliest stage of development.

It's in development. Assume there will be changes. But until the ruleset is finalized, no way to plan for exactly what those changes would be.

But, Moon has also said that 2014 5E adventures will be compatible with 2024 5E ruleset. He doesn't think Characters will be, but since its still in development he;s not sure yet.
