View Full Version : Senses for Player Characters

I've been trying my Google-fu but either I'm not as good as I thought or there's no answer to my question out there, yet...

I'm setting up a Traveller game and I note that NPCs have a "Senses" option in which I can put things like VISION: Darkvision 20 to enable NPCs to automatically see in the dark.

However, there seems to be no "Senses" field in the Character sheets, so the only way I've been able to give them Darkvision is to create a custom effect VISION: 20 darkvision that I have to manually apply to their tokens on the map.

How do I go about permanently setting certain PCs to have Darkvision (e.g. those who have some sort of Enhanced Vision augment) so I no longer have to remember to manually equip those characters via the effect?

Thanks in advance

Wolf.

I think you apply it to the PC in the CT and then leave it on them.
There is not normally a need to ever remove PCs from the CT.

OK, awesome idea. I was emptying out the CT each time - mum always told me to put my toys away, afterwards :p - so wasn't aware that the state of the CT persisted between sessions.

Your mum is right about most things but once in a while listen to your dad.
Your PCs can stay in the CT almost indefinitely.
Once in a while, after a big update, you might find some disconnect between your PCs and their tokens and then you remove and re-add but that is very rare.

Not that I need much excuse not to put my stuff away.

Thanks for the heads up about occasional disconnects.
