Are the 50th anniversary rulebooks the One D&D rules that were supposed to be released this year or is it something separate?

But the Anniversary editions and One D&D are both one and the same? I'm assuming so, otherwise that's a lot of new editions!

Yes, they are the same thing.

Thanks, LordEntrails. I assumed so but I thought it would have the words One D&D in the titles that's why I was unsure.

Yea, WotC has been really bad about consistent naming/branding.

They dropped the naming of One D&D and decided to just call it 5E.....to confuse everyone as much as possible. So, now it's basically 5E(2014-2023) and 5E(2024).

Yes, they don’t use the phrase One D&D at all. They refer to them as Core Rulebooks 2024 and in some branding they use the 50 Anniversary graphics.

It was a working title, kind of like D&D Next was for 5e.
