View Full Version : How to start combat so Combat Tracker considers Initiative Edges and Hindrances?

I have noticed that if I deal Action Cards from the menu, FGU doesn't trigger Edges or Hindrances but if the cards are dealt between turns by clicking the arrow down ('next combatant') they are. So how am I supposed to start combat so Initiative affecting rules are triggered?

Click the down arrow.

Click the down arrow.

You mean after adding the characters to the CT just click the arrow down? I at least tried to try this (maybe I did something wrong), but then it didn't deal cards to anyone. The turn order icon moved but everyone kept the token card icons in the Action Card slots instead of getting actual cards. I'll try again, maybe I did something wrong last time.

Edit. Could it affect the situation, if there are already characters in the CT? Should it be cleared out first? Or does the turn counter affect the functionality somehow?

It will deal once a new round starts so press down arrow until it goes through all the actors and then starts a new round or click the new round icon.

You could also click the "Next Round" button in the bottom right corner of CT to start the first round. That will deal everyone cards and apply initiative edges.
Note that when you do this, the turn arrow will not move to the first combatant. This give players time to drop bennies on cards for new initiative draws.
