Drawing Rectangles.

Other than using a thin line, is there anyway to (easily) draw a rectangle, say, 10’x50’?

(Existing shapes are generally cones/squares.)

Unlock the map, and select the paint layer at the top of the panel that opens. Select the rectangle tool and then click and hold the left mouse button to draw the shape.

I think the existing shapes you are referring to are the Pointers. And their is not a rectangle pointer. But as Mr. Z points out, you can draw rectangles (and other shapes) with the actual paint tools.
