Savage Worlds Encounters

I have been seeing expressions for "how many" of a particular NPC shows up in an encounter.

Examples are "$PC*2" or "2d8".

However, I can't seem to enter those into my encounter when I'm building them.

Am I going to have to hand edit the XML?

You can only use variable expressions in the Random Encounter records; not in the base Encounter records. You generate an Encounter from the Random Encounter, and then add to the combat tracker.
