I just bought the SWADE edition of the HC in the sale. l noticed I now have an extension named Setting: Horror Companion (SWADE) Setting, so I enabled it. After loading a campaign with it enabled, I can't discern anything different. I assumed it would enable the Sanity stat on character sheets like the previous SWD Horror Companion's Feature: Horror Companion - Sanity extension did, but it doesn't.
So does anyone know what features the extension actually adds?
Is the older extension still used and should I continue to load it?
[Edit] I did notice that I now have a [Lodges] button in the Character section of the side bar. Does the extension add anything else?
[Edit] Nervemind...In my campaign I only enabled the HC GM module mostly for the bestiary. So I wasn't loading the Players module. Having now loaded it and read it a bit, I can see that Sanity has been wrapped into Fear rolls, with the worst results forcing rolls on an additional Hindrance table. I'm not sure I'm completely sold on the changes with possible rolls on additional tables being required. As well, I previously ran Realms of Cthulhu and while I didn't find SW the best rules for Lovecraft/Cosmic Horror, my players and I did like how Sanity worked. Personally not a big deal, as owning the SWD edtion of the HC I have the Sanity extension. I also created my own Sanity extension for Weird Wars II, so I'm confident I can fix anything in the old extention that might get broken by any updates.
