DM LFP WoW adaption to 5e. Need people with no WoW experience

Damn, I know you would prefer people who haven't played wow, but I would have LOVED to play this. Sadly weekends aren't good for me. I Really hope you find what you need though. This sounds like it's going to be an amazing game.

People can lie and say they have no experience but I'd like to think I would find out and I have zero qualms about booting them. The fun part for me is delivering the story and if I am talking to people that have heard it all before and are just browsing twitter while I am trying to sell the scene that is going to really annoy me. I'd honestly rather just join someone's campaign in forgotten realms or something and have a no stress experience.

So yah, I'll not be changing my mind on this.

Looking for people that have never played WoW. I plan to create an adaption for 5E Legacy (2014) with some home-brew rule modifications (more serious, gritty, dangerous).

I don't see why someone who has played WOW before can't participate in your game. Please explain why you think this works against the players.

Assuming this is the same LFG as on the Discord, I had a friend look into joining this game having no experience with WoW. He asked about the restrictions that the world would have because... well he's never played it before so had no clue what they were and they were not listed in the posting. Also the poster had listed "If interested in this or have any further questions, hit me with a Discord DM.". Pretty standard stuff.

The words my friend used were, "...would potentially be interested depending on the restrictions you mentioned." He was then told his use of the word "depending" was a red flag. Given previous posts imply finding someone in the hobby having not played WoW is rare, it was pretty surprising this was too much a line crossed.

Therefore, since the poster has not mentioned it, for those wanting to join this game the use of the word "depending" should be heavily limited if not outright avoided to prevent wasted time on both sides.

Do you know what a red flag is? Try this on for size. If a person has a "feeling" based on a response that the person is going to be difficult to deal with and then declines their request for an invite and that person decides to pretend to be a "friend" of that person and spend effort tracking down who "might be" the same DM and then post the above message, I have to wonder, didn't that mean the red flag was valid? Methinks so. Thank you for proving my point.

Because it is my game and I get to pick whom I wish to play in it. Basic stuff. If you don't like it there are other games out there. I do not owe you an in-depth explaination. Or anyone else for that matter.

To me, it seems like trying to find a group of players to play a D&D re-creation of the most-popular MMO in history, while also requiring that they have never played said MMO... is kind of like trying to find grains of sand in the Sahara Desert that have never been touched by the sun.
