How Do I add the Damage Dice to Shortword D&D 2nd edition

Good Afternoon, what I'm having a problem with is, the Goblin shortsword for Lost Mine of Phandelver only has 1d6 bludgeoning, and when I add the damage for large size, I can't select the dice type (the little box that has silhouettes of D4 D6 D8) and when I use my mouse to select the D8, nothing happens, and I can't add the large size damage. Am I missing something painfully obvious?

Click on the cog icon next to the damage line and then right click on the dice box and select clear dice. Then drag the d8 and drop it into the dice box.

Thanks a bunch, I didn't know about the Clear Dice function, so that was where things were hanging up. As always, greatly appreciate all the help
