Transferring saved characters

I recently got a new Vista computer and now I want to transfer my character over from my XP machine. Anyone know how to do that?

How many characters are you talking about?

Just one character. I have two on the old machine, but I only want one transferred over.

If you are talking a local character it is easier to transfer them all. Ideally if you are moving from one machine to the other you want to transfer everything in FG2's data app folder on the XP machine to the data app folder on the Vista machine. You can find this folder by pressing Start Button -> All Programs -> Fantasy Grounds II -> Application Data Folder.

If for some reason you do really want just local characters - they are in the characters folder in data apps.

If you are talking about characters that are in a campaign - server characters - you don't have to do anything because they are on the GM's computer. Just log in as normal.
