View Full Version : Do we have a better way to deal with wildshapes yet?

I spent a couple hours of searching for a better solution than having to swap sheets and rebuff new sheets and swapping gear around for multiple sheets.

I see threads going back at least a decade asking if there is a good way to deal with Druids and other similar classes that have a bunch of different forms, and all I can seem to find is "DM has to swap sheets and buffs on the combat tracker" making druid more cumbersome than without a VTT. I see a few convos that indicate that there are 5e extensions to one button swap tokens/sheets automatically but nothing for 3.5e.

I am hoping someone has some knowledge I lack.

Create additional character sheets.

There is an extension on the Forge that does this sort of thing.
https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/1467/view

or another one:
https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/1576/view

I have not used either personally.

Create additional character sheets.

This is exactly the sloppy method I stated I am trying to find an improvement over.

Both are labeled as intended for 5e. I can find no indication they work for 3.5e and given the simplistic nature of 5e I doubt anything written for a 5e druid can do the job.

There is no version for 3.5E; I try to do that via effects, and usually I ask my corresponding player to prepare setting this up or to understand the rules in order to do it manually :)
