Camera Tokens

Any guidance on making custom camera tokens to get them sized and located properly (e.g. make sure they aren't floating or whatever)? Like, what dimensions should the images be? What format? Where should they be placed in your folders?

Camera tokens are images and the standard image would be 800 high or 1000 wide whichever is less. They should have an alpha layer so wepb for preference since they are smaller but .png can also work. Images should more or less work but you might want to pass them through this tool here (The video explains how to use the tool)https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?80375-Pre-defining-the-scale-and-positioning-of-images-in-3D-space. Images should be either in the top level images folder or inside the images folder inside your campaign. They can be used either from the images list insdie your campaign or directly from assets > Images.

How do you handle creatures of different sizes? For instance, how do you size a human vs. a hobbit? Or is that done when you use the image?

It's done in the tool I linked. You can add a height or a width to the image - so you could use 4' for a hobbit and 6' for a human for example. The tool produces an xml file which you need to keep in the same place as the image.

There is a video on the link from Mr. Z. It walks you through using the tool and how you can set the height of each token. These tokens don't scale based upon the resolution, but rather the info that gets created by the tool and is in the xml file it creates. The guide in is that whichever dimension of the token is larger, it should not exceed 1000pixels.

You don't see this? If not maybe you are on the mobile version of the forum? Look at the very bottom of the page and you'll see a dropdown; select FG Quick or FGResponsive. Another possibility is that your browser is blocking the video.

They go in your images folder, maybe make a sub folder for easier access or finding, just add to your master top level image directory, or you can add to your campaign image sub folder folder, depending on what you are doing.
