How do I remove the blood stains where an NPC has died?

After combat there are blood stains on my map. This is a cool effect, but how do I delete them afterwards?

There is a button on the image toolbar that says "Clear Death Markers", or you can unlock the image and delete the "Death Markers" layer.

Incorrect, use a summoned hydrogen-peroxide elemental. Bleach only gets rid of surface stains. :)
