View Full Version : Syrinscape play based on Image Content

Hi, I'm not sure if I am misconfiguring something or if I just misunderstand how Syrinscape should work in FG. (Using PFRPG2 ruleset) - I have linked Syrinscape to my campaign (I confirmed it is working fine since I can manually play sounds, and the Bestiary and Spell triggers I bought on FG Store work just fine, I can search for sounds and play them manually, etc.). I'd like for Syrinscape to play some sounds automatically when I (the GM) open an image.

1. I created a Sound Set in FG
2. I set the Sound Set Type to Content
3. I set the Subtype to Image
4. I drag the image into the Image Links section
5. I drag the sounds from the Sound: Settings FG window into the Sounds section of the Sound Set
6. When I open the Image, the sounds do not play... they do show up in the Sound: Context window under the Context Sounds.

Should I expect them to play automatically, or should I have to click on the Play button on the sounds in the Sound: Context window to make them play?

Sounds for images don't play automatically, any "context" sounds are added to the Sound window for you to select which ones to manually play yourself.

Agreed with Trenloe. The only things that trigger automatically in Fantasy Grounds are the attacks and damage like actions. You might be able to creatively create triggers based on other language or keywords, but you will still need to manually click a button.
