maps are blank

Hi,

yesterday I tried to open shared Rock of Bral upperside map with my players (imported by myself and added with pins/links), but the map is not shown only the pins are.
Today after the new update even the pins are gone and all maps are shown only as "new map" and are blank.

So what do I have to do to get the map again into the map window and also my 100 of self created pins for the player?
I don´t want to loose my changes/Additions. Note that I not used FGU two months for this campaign so I am not sure which update was the reason - anyway I already updated a lot in other campaigns
Can I reload the map as second layer?

And here I also have a common problem - if I share a map with the players, I like to use the same link/pin as I am using as DM - but they can´t read the headline of the pin except that I share the whole content of the pin/link with them. And that is only possible If I allow access to the whole DM module.
But I want them only to read one headline or one entry, not the whole module? I always created new links exactly for the players on the official maps - but all the pins/links are now gone?

If this is from an official module then it may well have been updated to use .webp images rather than .jpg. You can right click on the image on the image list and select revert changes to revert things to the new map. If you want to preserve your changes then you could edit the /xml file for the module that you'll find in the moduldb folder inside the campaign folder. Change any instance of <image name>.jpg to <image name>.webp

As for your other question I'm unsure of what it is you are saying. If you create a story entry and pin that to the map you can share that one pin (right click on the pin and select share pin) with your players and they'll only be able to access that one pin and the attached story (if you also share the story). If you are talking about pins for any module entry then you would need to share the entry as well as the pin with the players. If you want just a title then create a story entry with just a title and pin that and share the pin and the story entry.

No, you can't share only part of a record/pin. You share all of it or none.

BUT, their is an extension that has some more advanced features that MIGHT do what you want. See the Player Agency Extension on the Forge.

Thanks, I use this Player agency extension - but If I want to show a official module note to my players, I don´t want to create a new one but want to use the already existing ones and show them to the players without showing too much...
It would be nice if with only one click I could do this - for example showing the headline of a already existing story entry without showing the rest of the text. Similar as NPC Names it would be very useful, because it would speed up showing pin information to players tremendously.

Perhaps I don´t know player agency to much . could I do thiswhat I proposed with this extension?

It might help if you gave us a concrete example of what you mean. I’m not sure I understand why you would need to show only the header on a page and not the text unless all you want to do is have a pin with a name on it. If that is what you want then create the story entry with just the title and share the pin and that story.
