After the new update tonight, I have no arrows in simple story entries to go back and forth through them?
Is this intentional?

It might be older legacy modules that need to be brought up to speed with the changes. This behavior was also reported on in the FG Discord forums earlier.

I'm going to be looking at smoothing any rough edges this week on the update. There was a complete reorganization of Story Books (aka Reference Manuals) and how they work with Story records. Currently, the navigation is only available for Story Book linked records.

Is there a way to update the hundreds of custom and edited Story entries I have to Story Books?

As mentioned, I’ll be looking at adding a separate navigation for non-book records, but it will probably be next week.
You can build a book with current campaign records by clicking on Books in sidebar, then Campaign, then build an index with links to all the story records.
If you wait for the update, I’ll be working on that change I mentioned above.

Perfect. I think I'll wait at this point.
I sincerely appreciate all of your help navigating the update.

Hi MoonWizard
If I was starting to create a new module, what would you recommend to be the best way to create the reference manual?

The same way you created it before. How you create the refmanual hasn’t changed only the method of accessing it.

Since story entries are the "old way" of creating a module, I am guessing everything should just be built right in the books section. I just did an entire chapter of a module that way and it worked much better than having to do the weird numbering of old story entries.

Both ways are available, but we have been leaning towards Books (Reference Manuals) for some time. They are way more powerful and present data in more meaningful ways. You also can create all of your pages first and then drag and drop the advanced story to the index and it will drop it into the slot you placed it.
So tons of new neat stuff available to speed up conversion time.

The issue with the new Story Book I am having is with a RefMan I created in a campaign. The new Story Book button opens a blank RefMan even though the campaign already has a RefMan. I have the OG RefMan pinned so I can still open it. I have not edited the blank Story Book so I am not sure if it will override the OG. Exporting DOES export the info of the OG RefMan.

What is the "books section"?
The only icon I see with a book is the "story" ....

In the toolbar on the right under the Library section is a new button called "Books".
