View Full Version : Update caused initiative and combat tracker issues

After the update today, some things have changed that I am unable to fix.
I run an AD&D 2E campaign, and use d10 for initiative and an "ascending" order in the combat tracker.
After the update today, my players can only roll a d6 from initiative while I can still roll d10s from either their character sheets or the combat tracker.
Also, the combat tracker is now in "descending" order of initiative and progresses the "wrong way" after a turn ends.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

There were a lot of changes flying around across the ruleset from both Celestian and I. I've pinged @Celestian to see if he has any ideas, since I don't think I did anything to affect initiative but could have missed something.
Also, are you running any extensions?
Thanks,
JPG

Yes I have extensions running. ADD options and house rules. 2E player's option and more. Along with a few features: Encounter descriptions, exptraplanar containers, inventory identified, moon tracker, party inventory weight, and requested rolls.

Try disabling all extensions and see if the issue is still there.
If not enable each of the extensions one at a time, and see if the issue occurs after enabling it.

The only way to do this would be to have players in game at the time. A colossal waste of player's time. Why would my (the GMs) initiative roll come out as a d10 when the players come out as d6?

You can open a second instance of Fantasy Grounds on your computer to play as one of your own players - that will allow you to test it without involving your players.

Did you test without them? Because unless there is a feature that I added and forgot there is no way to change that from any options outside of a mod.

Why were the arrows on the "Story" window removed? Now how can one advance to the next part of the story easily?

Yes and I hoped in looking to my logs you could give me a hint which one made me trouble? I read the friendzone is having problems... with the new update...
Turn off all the extensions and turn them back on one by one, or check to see if the extension developer has updated them to work with 4.5 in that extension thread/forge page.

So it looks like a developer updated one of the extensions. How do I update my extension as it states that I already "own" it but there is no "update" button?

The Update button on the FG launcher will update Forge extensions as well.

The update button won't highlight in red if there are no FGU updates, even if there are extension updates.
It's not aware of outstanding Forge updates, but clicking it will pull down those updates.
