New User, New Games

I am currently completing work on designing two different games, one a non-d20 RPG and one a massive wargame. Fantasy Grounds seems like a good option for a virtual tabletop for both. I want to develop rulesets for both of these games for concurrent release with the games, as well as for use during final playtesting while I am deployed. The problem is I am not familiar with FG or XML. Could someone point me in the direction of a guide or other form of assistance? If anyone is interested in helping directly, that would be great too. Thanks
