Has anyone done any ruleset creation for any of the ORE related games (Godlike (https://www.arcdream.com/godlike/), Wild Talents (https://www.arcdream.com/wildtalents/home.php), Reign (https://www.gregstolze.com/reign/index.html), Nemesis (https://www.nemesis-system.com/), etc.)?

I'm thinking about doing it, but if there's any work already done out there, I'd figure I'd try and save myself some effort...

Damn... I was hoping ;)

This is going to be a pretty major undertaking, I think, after looking over everything. The dice mechanics are going to be the first thing to tackle. I'm doing Reign specifically, but most of the ORE stuff works fundamentally the same.

Update:

After a long pause because of yet another job change requiring yet another move, I'm back on this.

I have most of the fundamental ORE/Reign code and mechanics in and functional. This week I've been working on the skin and taking a break from the code (every mountain I cross just reveals another in my path :/ ). I went minimalist with the skin since my graphic talents are, let's say, limited.

You can see screens here. (https://picasaweb.google.com/bill.razorback/FantasyGroundsReignStage3?feat=directlink)

You might find it worthwhile to do the skins as extentions if you want the various related games to use different skins. Then you could use just one ruleset with different looks.

You might also be able to put any gameline-specific stuff in extensions too, then the GM can choose which flavour of the ruleset he wants to use when he starts the campaign.

Excellent work, can't wait to give this a try with Project Nemesis! :)

Nemesis will require a little modding because the expert dice and such work a bit differently as compared to Reign, but it should be easy enough to do.

I too would love to hear more about this ruleset.

Well, Life happened and in the whole process through a cruel twist of hard drive failure, I lost all the work I had accomplished- though that was probably a good thing- it was a mess of code and not so customizable because of it.

I've started again and have made surprisingly fast progress. I plan on having a base ORE ruleset that will be accessible to extensions for the particular systems- Reign, Wild Talents, Nemesis, etc.

I'll probably put the ORE stuff out just as soon as I get it to the point where it can be used to run an ORE game of whatever flavor- albeit crudely, without bells and whistles.

Very cool. If you ever need playtesting, feel free to message me.

Thanks, but I've got a group that are willing guinea pigs. What I release is going to be very fundamental because such things as special dice, multiple action rules and even hit locations vary from system to system. I'm probably going to go with a very basic character sheet that you can customize on the fly. Attributes, skills and plenty of room for notes.

Are you interested in a particular system?

When I get there I'll be doing the Reign extension first- though I can't just put that in the public domain straight away. A couple of years ago I had been in touch with Greg about it and he seemed open to the idea provided it didn't infringe on needing the actual core book. So if he gives his blessing I'll put that out there too. Wild Talents will probably follow as I have a friend that I really want to run a WT game. That could well stay in house though, I've not approached Arc Dream about it and truthfully that's quite a ways off.

Beyond that I don't have a ton of interest in doing other extensions for ORE, except maybe for Monsters and Other Childish Things cause that's just a fun game for a one off here and there.

I love both Wild Talents and Reign. I'm using elements of both for a current game I'm designing for my face-to-face group.
