Game System: Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition
Time Zone: Eastern USA
Day of the Week and Time: Friday, 7:30 – 10:30 PM
Planned Duration and Frequency: 3-hour sessions, Weekly (*)
(*) Every six or seven weeks there is no game, because the DM has to work a rotating on-call schedule
(With that said there is not going to be a game on 2/9/24, but outside of that date any player that applies and is accepted could start in the very next game – we intend on playing this Friday 2/2)
Term: until the game is done (fully played out, so to speak I anticipate 6 months of play to go – but of course the players can alter that time – shorter or longer).

Character Starting Information: You’ll get a .pdf file of the character creation rules if you are accepted into the game, but you will start at 3rd level, For the interest of not writing a longer post than needed I’d appreciate your flexibility in playing what is allowed by the creation rules rather than me writing everything out here (but rest assured I approved just about all the major 5e source material for races/classes that WoTc published – you can even play something from Tasha’s if you want).
**Scenario**
This is Tome of Annihilation, but it will have some of my homebrew flare added to it. This game already has four players that have been playing since the game started. A fifth player is also going to be joining us, the person who applies and is selected from this post will be the sixth and final player for the game.
The players are in the jungle of Chult and have been on a quest to escort a priestess to Camp Vengeance. Our very last session the group was just approaching the camp. We will pick up there when play resumes.
An overview (albeit a fast one) will be re-told at the start of the game that any new players join us, so don’t feel you’ll be left hanging – I won’t do that – I’ll bring you up to speed.
Death is permanent in this game, there is no resurrection. There are many deadly creatures (including dinosaurs) that want to kill you, there’s treacherous terrain, cursed land, diseases and harsh weather condition that DOES impact what your characters can do.
In short it may be a more brutal 5e game than you played before, but that’s why I just told you all that to make sure it’s your “cup of tea”.
**Preferred Player We are Looking For**
I care less about your experience with D&D, though sure it does help if you already know the basics of the game, and I care far more about your desire to play, your reliability to play, and in general that you are a team player and you in short – aren’t a jerk. Rules can be taught, personality can’t. I’m particular about folks respecting each other’s time playing and in general just enjoying the game. If all that sounds good to you, you are probably a good fit for our group.
